Alpine Road of Romanesque Art: St. Florian Hospice and its past
The hospice of St. Florian (Laghetti/Egna) was built in the 13th century and hosted numerous pilgrims. At the end of the 13th century, the hospice lost its function with the opening of the nearby market in Egna, as many travellers preferred the inns in the beautiful centre of Egna. The hospice is one of the few completely preserved hospices in Europe.
