Composition is slowed improvisation

Formed in Germany in 2021, this quartet sets out in search of liminal spaces. The band is deeply rooted in the African-American tradition, but also looks to the "classical" modernism of the early 20th century. In accordance with Schönberg's motto "composition is slowed improvisation", the quartet blurs the boundaries between "script" and free interpretation.
