Preparing for the final stages of its 64th edition, one of the world’s oldest music competitions is setting out once more to celebrate the future of piano music and its titanic namesake Ferruccio Busoni – enhanced by an ever-growing network of global media partnerships.
This year, an expanded field of 35 finalists has been admitted to the solo semifinals. 12 get to enter the solo finals, 6 the chamber music stage with the Isidore String Quartet and an exclusive set of 3 gets to play in the grand finale accompanied by Bolzano’s Haydn Orchestra. Repertoire requirements have been raised, guaranteeing an even more attractive concert experience.
