In questo film, girato nel corso di 40 anni, il cineasta
indigenista Vincent Carelli si mette alla ricerca delle origini
del genocidio dei guaraní kaiowá. Un conflitto tra forze

Filmed over the course of 40 years, indigenous expert
and filmmaker Vincent Carelli seeks out the origins of the
Guaraní Kaiowá genocide. A conflict of disproportionate forces:
the peaceful and obstinate insurgency of the dispossessed
Guaraní Kaiowá against the powerful apparatus of agribusiness.

È il fondatore di Video en la Aldeias. La sua presenza è stata fondamentale per lo sviluppo del video indigeno in Brasile. Ha lavorato con le comunità indigene facilitando la formazione nella produzione video e promuovendo l'accesso e la visibilità delle produzioni indigene. Sotto la sua direzione, VNA conduce workshop annuali di produzione video, di solito nella regione dello Xingu; sostiene progetti di registi indigeni; gestisce le attrezzature e l'accesso alla post-produzione; distribuisce i video a livello internazionale. Er ist der Gründer von Video en la Aldeias. Er war maßgeblich an der Entwicklung indigener Videos in Brasilien beteiligt. Er hat mit indigenen Gemeinschaften zusammengearbeitet, indem er Schulungen zur Videoproduktion angeboten und den Zugang und die Sichtbarkeit indigener Produktionen gefördert hat. Unter seiner Leitung führt VNA jährliche Videoproduktionsworkshops durch, meist in der Xingu-Region, unterstützt Projekte indigener Filmemacher/innen, verwaltet die Ausrüstung und den Zugang zur Postproduktion und vertreibt Videos international. Als unabhängiger Produzent hat er mit Xavante-Videomachern bei der Entwicklung eines Fernsehprogramms in Mato Grosso zusammengearbeitet und für das brasilianische Bildungsministerium Live-Videoserien über indigene Gemeinden im ganzen Land produziert. Als Bildredakteur für die KTI-Enzyklopädie hat er an der Sammlung von 8.000 Bildern indigener Menschen und Gruppen in Brasilien mitgearbeitet.

He is the founder of Video en la Aldeias. His presence has been fundamental in the development of indigenous video in Brazil. He has worked with indigenous communities facilitating training in video production and promoting access and visibility of indigenous productions. Under his direction, VNA conducts annual video production workshops, usually in the Xingu region; supports projects by indigenous filmmakers; manages equipment and access to post-production; and distributes videos internationally. As an independent producer, he has worked with Xavante videomakers in the development of a television programme in Mato Grosso, and has produced live video series on indigenous communities throughout the country for the Brazilian Department of Education. As photo editor for the CTI encyclopaedia, he has worked on the collection of 8,000 images of indigenous people and groups in Brazil.
